What is an OEM?
An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is a company that builds a product that it sells under its own company name and brand. An OEM, such as HP or Epson, will manufacture the product and assign a unique part number to that product. We provide the OEM part number to assist you in finding the item you need.
PLEASE NOTE: All manufacturer brand names and trademarks are the property of their respective holders and while we make reference to brand name merchandise for purposes of demonstrating compatibility, we are in no way endorsed or associated by these companies.

What is a Cloned cartridge?
"Cloned" is term that describes all products that have been developed to resemble, duplicate and imitate an OEM part. This term encompasses "compatible" and "remanufactured". We use the term CLONE to indicate it is not original, but a replicated product. (Like Dolly, the sheep that was cloned from an original sheep.) All cloned products have been developed NOT TO INFRINGE ON ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS PATENTS.

What is a Compatible cartridge?
"Compatible" refers to a product that imitates an original. It is, in essence, a brand new "knock off".

What is a Remanufactured cartridge?
"Remanufactured" refers to a product that starts with an original core or outside casing and rebuilt to resemble an original manufacturer's product. All parts are new except the outside shell or core.

What is a "chip" when referring to certain cartridges?
"Chips" are the device that will recognize the ink levels and the functioning of the cartridge. Some cartridges have chips and others do not.

Do cloned cartridges last as long as OEM?
All of our cloned cartridges are duplicated and manufactured according to OEM specifications, and are intended to print the same or greater page yield as their OEM counterpart.

Why so cheap?
Our products are priced low but they are not "cheap". Every product in our line is manufactured using the latest in technology, ensuring that everything we sell is of the highest quality. All of our products perform to the "standard" of the OEM brand, but you pay less for them. They are lower in dollars but not in quality.

What are your payment terms?
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and PayPal. All payments are due at time of order.

Will using a cloned cartridge void my machine's warranty?
Absolutely not, and legally it cannot! Your manufacturer cannot void your machine's warranty for using cartridges other than theirs. (However, it may void your contract if you have a binding agreement to use only their printer supplies.)

Federal law prohibits any company or person from requiring you to purchase only their product. The Federal Trade Commission protects your right as a consumer to purchase the product or service of your choice. FTC regulations (Federal Trade Commission - Magnusson-Moss Warranty Federal Commission Improvement Act - Subparagraph C, section 101) specifically addresses this point. Printing machine users are NOT obliged to utilize print consumables furnished by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in order to maintain the warranty. However, if the manufacturer can prove to the FTC that the supplies do not comply with the standards required by the printing machine, they could refuse to honor the warranty.

Please be assured that every imaging supply sold by InkCloners.com is guaranteed to match or exceed the required OEM specifications. In short, a manufacturer cannot deny a consumer's warranty based solely on the fact that the consumer used another vendor's consumables. If you are told that your warranty is void because you used a cloned cartridge, you need to know that your rights are protected under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act, Section 101.

How is quality ensured?
All of our toner cartridges are individually tested during manufacturing and must pass through a Triple Quality Control inspection before they get shipped to you. Stringent quality standards include testing each component prior to manufacturing, during production, and even after our products are on the shelf. Products are even subject to extreme conditions such as temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, and simulated shipping conditions to ensure the product performs perfectly in every situation, every time. The result is a high performance product that produces darker prints and sharper graphics.

Is the InkCloners.com website secure?
Your security is our primary concern. All pages containing your personal information, including credit card numbers, name, and address are encrypted while in transit. What impact does the inkjet and toner industry have on the environment?
Each year, millions of cubic feet of non-biodegradable Laser & Inkjet cartridges are thrown into our nation's landfills. In 25 years, the total amount of discarded cartridges could fill more than half the Grand Canyon. What many do not know, however, is that there are companies out there dedicated to recycling cartridges. If you wish to recycle your empty cartridges and would like more information, please go to The Environment and Recycling page of our website.
