HP Verifies LaserJet Printer Black Toner Shortage

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

Hewlett Packard has just affirmed that it’s coping with scarcity of replacement black toner cartridges for its low-end black and white LaserJet P1102W and LaserJet M1212 printers.

Over the past several months, HP partners have been struggling to acquire HP CE285A toner cartridges through distribution. Sources from a number of major suppliers explained that the CE285A toner cartridge continues to be either backordered or available in extremely limited amounts.

HP credited the CE285A shortage to the incredible demand the company has been experiencing for the LaserJet P1102W as well as the LaserJet M1212 and explained it is attempting to recover inventory.
The CE285A black toner to fill up consumables orders has been unavailable through distribution since October 2010, and he’s been given no indication of when it’s going to become readily available.

Oddly enough, the CE285A is listed as in stock through online stores such as Staples.com, Officedepot.com and Amazon.com, all of these sell it for $67.99. Prior to the general shortage he was forking out between $54 and $56 for the CE285A through distribution. It really appears to be unusual that no distributor can get them although the office supply houses can,

As a consequence of the toner shortage, shoppers have discovered it cheaper to purchase new laser printers and use the toner cartridges that’s sold together with them. In addition, InkCloners.com has remanufactured compatible brands available.

Quality of Compatible & Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Back when recycling toner cartridges started, a lot of people were eager to make a fast buck. If you have tried remanufactured or compatible toner cartridges before and it didn’t work out for you, things have changed. They saw this as an opportunity and used it, but unfortunately, they had little or no technical ability or training and made a poor quality product that caused a lot of problems.

In the past eleven years, companies that were previously restricted from selling remanufactured toner and aftermarket parts now can, and do. In addition, some of those companies even make better aftermarket parts than the OEM and have developed new techniques for making these cartridges better.

The biggest advantage of using compatible toner cartridges is that they save you money. Remanufactured cartridges cost 30% to 60% less on a per copy basis than non-remanufactured cartridges and can save you hundreds and thousands of dollars on ink supplies. So if you haven’t tried remanufactured cartridges lately, or if you have tried poor quality recycled cartridges, you should try an InkCloners.com brand. When it comes to saving money and using a great product there shouldn’t be any reason why you shouldn’t consider using compatible toner or remanufactured toners to save you money.

What is MICR Toner?

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

MICR is an acronym for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition. It is a character recognition system that uses special ink and characters, which mainly used by banks. Examples of the font can be found in the numbers and characters found on the bottom of checks. The toner or ink that is used is magnetized and when a document passes through a special machine, it reads the characters. This benefits the bank in two ways. It facilitates the processing of checks and enhances the security and avoids losses caused by fraudulent checks.
MICR toner cartridges are expensive because of the toner material used. However, buying remanufactured MICR toner cartridges online at InkCloners.com can save you a bundle. A remanufactured MICR toner is simply a toner that has been used once by a consumer, completely disassembled, all worn parts replaced with new parts, cleaned and then filled with new MICR toner.
